The Year of Buzzard’s Roost

As we head into 2022, we would like to take a moment to celebrate all that we achieved in 2021.

Buzzard’s Roost started off the year with a bang by receiving Gold and Double Gold medals from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Our Barrel Strength Rye took home Gold and our Toasted Barrel Rye took home the Double Gold. The accolades didn’t stop in San Francisco.

On top of these great successes, Buzzard’s Roost also released two new expressions and expanded distribution to Massachusetts. Our first new release of 2021 was our Peated Barrel Rye. Our second release of 2021 was our Barrel Strength Straight Bourbon Whiskey. This exciting release was Buzzard’s Roost first bourbon.

Our Barrel Strength Bourbon received high praise upon its release and it was even included in Paste magazine’s Top 15 Whiskeys of 2021. This wasn’t the only list that Buzzard’s Roost topped this year. Buzzard’s Roost Toasted Barrel Rye also made an appearance on Fred Minnick’s Best American Whiskeys of 2021.

Alongside an award-winning year, Whisky Advocate rated Buzzard’s Roost Single Barrel Rye a whopping 91 points. Buzzard’s Roost also appeared in and received high praise from Garden and Gun, American Whiskey and VinePair.

The buzz around Buzzard’s Roost Sipping Whiskeys doesn’t stop there. Buzzard’s Roost received nearly 50 influencer posts to-date that garnered more than 400,000 impressions on social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube.
