Buzzard’s Roost Whiskey Opens New On-Site Speakeasy
New Space Will Host Private Tastings and New “Sipping in Secret” Experience
All Are Invited to a Speakeasy Party on National Bourbon Day (June 14)
June 6, 2024 – Louisville, Kentucky – Buzzard’s Roost Sipping Whiskey has created a new Speakeasy in its Whiskey Row home, created to host an exciting new guest experience, and they’re throwing a party to celebrate!
At the Buzzard’s Roost Speakeasy Party on National Bourbon Day – Friday, June, 14, from
4 -7 p.m. -- guests will enjoy Prohibition-era cocktail and light bites, and will need to figure out a secret buzz word to get a sneak peek at the new Speakeasy, located on the lower level of Buzzard’s Roost Whiskey Row Experience at 624 W. Main St. in Louisville. Buzzard's Roost is bringing extra 20s flair with costumed characters and guests are invited to dress the part. A “police raid” isn’t out of the question either!
The Buzzard’s Roost Speakeasy will accommodate up to eight guests for a new one-hour experience entitled, “Sipping in Secret,” developed by Buzzard’s Roost Whiskey Education Director Susan Reigler. During the experience, guests will hear the story of how Prohibition shaped America’s cocktail culture, taste “White Lightning” straight from the Buzzard’s Roost still and sip on a period cocktail popular in the days of Prohibition. Reservations are $28 per person and can be made online starting June 14. “Sipping in Secret” will be offered on Thursdays and Sundays at 4 p.m. and reservations are now open. Click here to book.

The Buzzard’s Roost Speakeasy also can be reserved for private barrel tastings and other VIP tasting events. Catering for small groups can be arranged.
