Buzzard’s Roost is excited to introduce Toasted French Oak Bourbon Whiskey, the second bourbon in Buzzard’s Roost’s collection.
Like all Buzzard’s Roost expressions, Toasted French Oak Bourbon Whiskey is expertly and carefully aged in our one-of-a-kind proprietary barrels. Instead of being aged in traditional American oak barrels, this bourbon is aged in seasoned oak barrels that hail from the Limousin region of France. French oak is known for imparting a dark, rich color and sophisticated sweetness.
To the nose, Toasted French Oak Bourbon exudes aromas of toasted oak, caramel and crème brûlée. The palate transforms in the glass moving from sweet and woody to bright and fruity. This exceptional expression is dominantly sweet with glimmers of spice and oak. The finish lingers with a boost of tannin provided by the French oak.
Toasted French Oak Bourbon Whiskey is 105 proof and is made from a mash bill of 74 percent corn, 21 percent rye and 5 percent malted barley. You can find Toasted French Oak Bourbon in Kentucky and Massachusetts with an MSRP of $85.00.
